You can purchase a new service plan within 45 days after the expiration of the original service plan, Apple said. Users can choose to renew the insurance for 24 months, 36 months, monthly or annually, but TapTechNews noted that the extended renewal window period is only available in the following countries and regions:

AppleCare+ is a paid service plan that can extend the device's warranty period and cover accidental damage. Applicable devices include iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV. In addition, AppleCare+ also provides a theft and loss service, and users can get two claims for theft or loss within 12 months.
