On May 11th, PR representative from 7Artisans, Liu Wenjie, showcased new lenses, including one with specifications of 85mm F1.8. The release date has yet to be announced.
The new lens features an autofocus/manual focus lever which has been redesigned to slide front-to-back to prevent accidental changes, a significant improvement over the previous 50mm F1.8 model which had a left-to-right slider.
Previously, the 7Artisans AF 50mm F1.8 lens was priced under 1,000 yuan (approximately 140 USD), which sets an exciting price expectation for the new AF 85mm F1.8 lens.
Additionally, there is another small-size E-mount auto-focus lens by 7Artisans, currently unmarked. Liu hints at possible aperture sizes with a fun '1.2? 1.4? 1.8? Guess!' This upcoming model is expected to be a full-frame 40mm lens.
