Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou High-Speed Railway Enters Static Acceptance Stage

TapTechNews August 6th news, today, the Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou High-Speed Railway has entered the static acceptance stage, indicating that the main project construction of this railway is basically completed, and it is one step closer to opening and operation.

The Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou High-Speed Railway starts from Shanghai Hongqiao Station, passes through Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, and ends at Huzhou Station in Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province. The total length of the line is about 163 kilometers (about 101 miles), with a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour, and has 8 stations including Shanghai Hongqiao, Shanghai Songjiang, Liantang, Suzhou South, Shengze, Huzhou Nanxun, Huzhou East, and Huzhou Station.

Referring to TapTechNews' previous report, the Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou High-Speed Railway officially started track-laying in March 2024, and the whole line was completed on June 28. It is a major project for the infrastructure interconnection of Shanghai, Suzhou, and Huzhou, and also a key project for the high-speed railway networking, mesh supplementation, and chain strengthening in the Yangtze River Delta.

Yangtze River Delta Railway said that the Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou High-Speed Railway is expected to have the conditions for opening and operation by the end of the year. After completion and operation, it will further improve the regional railway network layout and effectively relieve the transportation pressure on the Shanghai-Nanjing and Shanghai-Hangzhou railway corridors.
