Rumors of Red Dead Redemption PC Version Surfacing After 14 Years

TapTechNews May 13 news, according to data miner Tez2's disclosure, after 14 years, the beloved game Red Dead Redemption seems to be coming to the PC platform.

Tez2 released a screenshot claimed to be from files on the Rockstar Launcher website, showing Red Dead Redemption and its zombie-themed DLC 'Undead Nightmare' have now landed on the PC platform.

Tez2 further stated that this information is similar to how Rockstar promoted GTA 5, speculating that this news is to build anticipation for the upcoming PC version.

Although there is no exact release date, this news strongly suggests that the PC version of Red Dead Redemption is coming soon. Since its launch on the PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms in 2010, PC gamers have been calling on Rockstar to release a PC version of Red Dead Redemption. TapTechNews noted that the sequel Red Dead Redemption 2 landed on the PC platform a year after it was released on console platforms, but there has been no news about the release of the original game on PC.

The updated version of Red Dead Redemption, which landed on the PS4 and Switch platforms last year, did not receive favorable reviews. Naturally, players hope the PC version will bring more meaningful upgrades. In recent years, Rockstar's classic games have not received the attention they deserve, for example, the poorly rated GTA: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition still has many issues that have not been fully fixed since its release.

On the other hand, Rockstar is working on creating the next groundbreaking open-world game, GTA 6, to continue its stellar achievements in this field.
