Specifications

The PixelWatch3 smartwatch comes in two dial sizes, 41mm and 45mm, and each size offers Wi-Fi and cellular network versions.

Names

The 41mm size version is reportedly called PixelWatch3, while the 45mm size version is called PixelWatch3XL.

Chip

The basic specifications of the watch are the same as those of the PixelWatch2: both are based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 platform and are equipped with a custom coprocessor.

Battery

The battery capacity of the PixelWatch3 is the same as that of the previous generation, which is 310 mAh; while the battery capacity of the PixelWatch3XL is 420 mAh, and the battery life performance will be better.

Narrower bezels

The bezels of both PixelWatch3 models are 4.5 millimeters, while the bezels of the previous generation product are 5.5 millimeters.

Although this size still seems relatively large, especially compared to the AppleWatch Series 9, it is still a significant upgrade compared to the old model.

Screen brightness

Both new watches are equipped with a 2000-nit display (this is the claimed value in the watch system; Google's final marketing materials may contain different values), while the peak brightness of the previous generation is only 1000 nits, meaning that the PixelWatch3 series of watches is more comfortable when used in direct sunlight outdoors.

Support for UWB

The PixelWatch3 series of smartwatches support Ultra Wide Band (UWB), and the recently exposed FCC list also lists this feature.

Supporting UWB means that the PixelWatch3 series of smartwatches can expand various uses, and the most obvious use case is to accurately find the device.

In addition, it is to act as a digital car key to unlock the car. BMW, Hyundai, and Kia already support this technology, and many other manufacturers are currently working hard to implement it.
