Ford to Recall 2371 Imported Mustang Cars in China

TapTechNews May 24th news, recently, Ford Motor (China) Co., Ltd. in accordance with the Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automobile Products, Implementation Measures of the Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Regulations on the Recall of Motor Vehicle Emissions, has filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation. It was decided to recall some imported sixth-generation Mustang cars produced from March 5, 2021 to October 10, 2022, a total of 2371 vehicles (TapTechNews note: not the electric horse Mustang Mach-E) starting from May 27, 2024.

In the vehicles within the scope of this recall, the low-pressure fuel pipeline that supplies fuel to the high-pressure fuel pump may have a slight leakage, and there is a risk of unreasonable emissions.

Ford Motor (China) Co., Ltd. will, through authorized imported car dealers, replace the low-pressure fuel pipeline for vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge to eliminate the risk of unreasonable emissions.
