Apple's A18 Chip vs M4 Chip in Neural Engine Power

TapTechNews June 26, sources @MappleGold tweeted yesterday (June 25) saying that the neural engine computing power in Apple's A18 chip is better than that of M4 chip, meaning it can run AI models locally and better handle various AI tasks.

TapTechNews checked Apple's official press release, and the M4 is equipped with the most powerful neural network engine Apple has ever had, with a computing speed of up to 38 trillion operations per second, which is up to an astonishing 60 times faster than the first-generation neural network engine in the A11 Bionic chip.

If the above news is true, then the computing speed of the neural network engine of Apple's A18 chip can exceed 38 trillion operations per second.

The source also said that Apple may take a different direction in marketing the A18 chip, suggesting that the phrases powerful and very efficient that we have seen in past SoC launches may not be used.
