Chevrolet Launches Corvette RedFlame Special Edition in Japan

TapTechNews July 7th news, Chevrolet today launched the Corvette RedFlame special edition model in the Japanese market. This car is limited to 40 units and is available in two versions: coupe and convertible. The starting price of the coupe is 17.4 million yen (TapTechNews note: currently about 130,000 US dollars), and the starting price of the convertible is 18.9 million yen (currently about 142,000 US dollars). Delivery will begin in September this year.

According to the introduction, there are two color schemes for this car, half of which are red matte metallic paint + beige interior, and the other half is carbon black metallic paint + red interior. Regarding specifications, the official has not yet announced the three-dimensional wheelbase information of the series of models, only knowing that all series models are equipped with a mid-mounted 6.2-liter V8 naturally aspirated engine with a maximum power of 369 kilowatts and a peak torque of 637 Newton-meters. The transmission system is matched with an 8-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox.
