Tesla's Dispute with Swedish Union and License Plate Issue

TapTechNews May 17th news, an unexpected turn has occurred in the dispute between Tesla and the Swedish trade union, and the Swedish court has rejected Tesla's appeal request.

Last year, Tesla had a disagreement with the Swedish Trade Union Confederation (IFMetall) over issues such as wages and working conditions. Subsequently, other Swedish trade unions related to electric vehicle production and registration also joined in to express their support.

TapTechNews noticed that the trade union took some unconventional means to show unity. For example, the Swedish Transport Workers' Union stated last year that it would no longer collect garbage and waste from Tesla's showrooms and service centers.

There are many conflicts between the trade union and Tesla, but Tesla still has a large number of customers in Sweden, and some of these customers have been affected by the trade union's strike actions.

In December last year, the Swedish postal company Postnord refused to deliver the license plates of Tesla cars to Tesla's facilities, making it difficult for customers and new car owners to obtain the license plates required for legal driving on the road.

Tesla questioned the legality of this move and sued the Swedish Transport Agency to ensure that it could obtain the required license plates.

However, the Swedish court seems to side with the trade union. The Swedish court stated in the statement: The appellate court agrees with the ruling of the district court and believes that the ordinary court has no right to hear the lawsuit filed by Tesla.

This puts Tesla in an awkward position in Sweden, and the company still tries to maintain business operations as normal as possible.
