TapTechNews May 14 news, the Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+ expansion board was officially launched today, priced at $12 (approximately 87 RMB, TapTechNews note), providing M.2 NVMe SSD support for the Raspberry Pi 5 development board.
The Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+ uses the Broadcom BCM2712 processor, DA9091 PMIC, and Raspberry Pi RP1 I/O controller, using a single-channel PCIe 2.0 protocol, supporting up to 500MB/s data transfer speed.
The expansion board is compatible with M.2 M Key devices in 2230 and 2242 specifications (such as NVMe SSDs), providing 3A current for M.2 devices.
