TapTechNews reported on May 14 that the OPPO Android 15 developer preview version plan is scheduled to be launched on the OPPO Open Platform today, offering the Android 15 developer preview version system for the OPPO Find X7 phone. It is recommended for developers to try it out, but not recommended for ordinary users to flash it.
The OPPO Find X7 Android 15 Beta is based on the system developed by Google Android 15 Beta.
The Android 15 developer preview version will adapt to the latest Google GMS package, and native functional applications that overlap with the GMS package will no longer be retained.
After upgrading to Android 15 Beta, the phone storage will be formatted, and all data including music and pictures will be cleared, so developers should backup the data in advance.
The OPPO Find X7 version needs to be 14.0.0.501 or below in order to upgrade to Android 15 Beta. Versions above 14.0.0.501 cannot be upgraded to Android 15 Beta. Please downgrade and then upgrade through this flashing method.
The specific flashing method is as follows:
Before performing the phone system upgrade operation, backup the data to a computer or cloud.
Download the Android 15 Beta upgrade firmware package on the PC side and copy the upgrade firmware package to the root directory of the phone storage.
Open the phone's settings->About phone->Software information->Click the version number seven times continuously.
Open the phone's settings->About phone->The top Software update card->Click the upper right corner ⋮ icon->Click on the local installation->Click the upper left corner ≡ menu button.
Click on the model name at the bottom->Find the compressed package at the bottom of the page, click and select the extract immediately button.
Wait for the extraction to complete and click the install now button.
Wait for the phone to restart and successfully upgrade to Android 15 Beta.
The current version system has the following known issues:
Bluetooth connection has some compatibility issues.
In certain scenarios, Wi-Fi may not be able to connect to the printer.
The smart unlock function cannot be used.
In certain scenarios, some camera functions display abnormally.
In some scenarios, there are abnormal functions when cross-screen interconnecting with PC and PAD.
Some third-party apps have compatibility issues such as crashes.
Stability issues exist in certain scenarios.
In specific scenarios, the software store crashes.
Probability of inability to turn on the personal hotspot after changing security settings.
The mosaic automatic encoding function is ineffective when previewing the screenshot.
The Pro XDR button does not appear on the photo after taking a picture.
