In Windows 11 24H2 update, Microsoft forces the use of SMB signing and disables guest fallback and other measures. If the third-party device does not support signing, TapTechNews attaches the possible errors as follows:

0xc000a000

-1073700864

STATUS_INVALID_SIGNATURE (Invalid Signature Status)

Invalid cryptographic signature

If the third-party requires guest access, the following errors may occur:

You cannot access this shared folder because your organization's security policy prohibits unauthenticated guest access. These policies help protect your computer from being attacked by unsafe or malicious devices on the network.

0x80070035

0x800704f8

No network path found

System error 3227320323 occurred

Microsoft suggests that users follow these steps in a safe order:

Refer to the NAS vendor's instructions to enable SMB signing in the device management software (if supported).

Similar to step 1, please refer to the NAS vendor's instructions on disabling guest access in the management software.

Set up username and password authentication on the NAS to ensure secure access.

If signing cannot be enabled, guest access disabled or username and password used, consider upgrading the NAS firmware to a compatible version.

If upgrading the firmware does not solve the problem, you may need to replace the NAS with a model that supports the required security features.
