Sennheiser Partners with Smart for Future In-Car Audio Experience

TapTechNews August 23rd news, Sennheiser today announced a strategic partnership with the intelligent pure electric vehicle brand smart to jointly explore the future high-end in-car audio experience.

The all-new smart #5 large five-seat SUV will be the first model under smart to be equipped with the Sennheiser Exemplary Sound System. This cooperation will cover the global market, including China and Europe. On August 28th, the all-new smart #5 will make its global debut in Australia.

According to the introduction, the Sennheiser Exemplary Sound System installed in the smart #5 includes 20 speakers and 1 original vehicle full-scenario portable HiFi speaker, with a peak output power of more than 2000 watts and supports Dolby Atmos.

According to TapTechNews' previous report, the all-new smart #5 large five-seat SUV will make its domestic debut at the 2024 Chengdu Auto Show (opening on August 30th), and will be launched in the Chinese market within this year for sale.

The exterior design of the smart #5 large five-seat SUV has been previously released, which is said to be from the Mercedes-Benz global design team, adopting a square box shape combined with forward-looking design. The front face of the car adopts a two-color design, providing champagne, green, and silver car paint. There are four lamp groups arranged above the grille, and the overall shape is highly recognizable. The side of the car adopts the currently popular hidden door handle design.

This car will be the world's first mass-produced car equipped with ByteDance's Doubao AI large model. Its body dimensions are 4705 x 1920 x 1705mm, and the wheelbase is 2900mm.
