According to preliminary statistics, the total revenue of the national radio and television service industry in the first half of the year was 668.357 billion yuan, an increase of 7.00% year-on-year.

The daily active rate of large-screen live broadcast users has increased by 1.19 percentage points compared with the first half of 2023.

In the first half of this year, as shown by China Audio-Visual Big Data, the number of cable TV and IPTV live broadcast viewers reached 400 million, and the total viewing time of the national audience on the large screen was nearly 150 billion hours. The daily active rate of live broadcast users in each month was higher than that in the same period of last year, and that in June set the highest in the same period in the past three years, an increase of 3.6% compared with 2022 and an increase of 8.2% compared with 2023. As of July 19th, the daily active rate of live broadcast users this month has continued to remain at the highest level in the same period in the past three years.

In the key tasks of the governance work in the second half of this year, the Radio and Television Administration mentioned that it is necessary to completely complete the governance of hotel TV, fully realize watching TV with one remote control, accelerate the integration of TV and set-top box, consolidate the governance results, and establish a long-term mechanism .
