TSMC's September Revenue Report and Its Global Developments

TapTechNews October 9th news, TSMC announced its revenue report for September today. The data shows that the revenue in that month was 251.87 billion New Taiwan dollars (TapTechNews note: currently about 55.228 billion Chinese yuan), with a year-on-year increase of 39.6% and a month-on-month increase of 0.4%; from January to September this year, the revenue was 2,025.85 billion New Taiwan dollars (currently about 444.214 billion Chinese yuan), with a year-on-year increase of 31.9%.

In September this year, foreign media reported that both TSMC and Samsung Electronics are exploring the possibility of building large wafer factories in the United Arab Emirates. Sources close to TSMC said that TSMC executives visited the United Arab Emirates that month to discuss building large production facilities in the UAE that can be comparable to TSMC's factories in Taiwan, China. Subsequently, TSMC responded that it is currently focused on existing global layout projects and there is no specific new global investment plan for now.

In the same month, some sources said that TSMC's Fab21 wafer factory in Arizona has started to operate, and the first stage trial-produces the A16 SoC suitable for iPhone 14 Pro.
