Microsoft Releases Temporary Solution for Windows 11 Photos App Opening Issue_0

TapTechNews reported on June 19th that Windows 11 23H2/22H2 users may encounter the problem that the Photos application cannot be opened, showing a spinning circle and then may disappear.

Microsoft has currently announced the temporary solution:

1. Through the Windows Application SDK, download the latest WinAppSDK.

2. Right-click the installation package and run the windowsappruntimeinstall-x64.exe file as an administrator. During the installation process, a command prompt window will open and display some text. Please note that when this command prompt window appears, no action is required, and after the installation is completed, the window will automatically close.

3. If it is an IT administrator, this installation program can be executed in the environment using system or administrator operations. The parameter -quiet is a dedicated parameter for this installation program and can be added to the execution command to prevent the user from interacting with the prompt.
