In some vehicles within the scope of this recall, due to the insufficient moisture-proof performance of the wheel speed sensor housing material, when the vehicle is used in a hot and humid environment for a long time, the wheel speed sensor may malfunction, resulting in the deactivation of some functions of the electronic body stability system (such as ESP, ABS, etc.), presenting a safety hazard.

This recall activity is carried out under the situation that the State Administration for Market Regulation initiates a defect investigation. Affected by the investigation, Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. and Beijing Benz Automotive Co., Ltd. will, through authorized Mercedes-Benz dealers, freely inspect the wheel speed sensor for the vehicles within the scope of the recall. If it belongs to a specific part number range, it will be replaced to eliminate the safety hazard.
