The relevant updates include a default-enabled hearing protection mode (providing passive noise reduction in noisy environments), and a clinical-level hearing aid mode. Users will use AirPods and iPhone to conduct a brief hearing test. If hearing loss is detected, a personalized sound configuration file will be created, allowing the headphones to make dynamic sound adjustments according to the user's needs to help users better hear the external sounds.

Apple said that the personalized hearing configuration file will be automatically applied to scenarios such as music, movies, games, and phone calls without adjusting any settings. The relevant functions can help people better participate in conversations and stay connected with the people and environment around them.
