Thanks to the TapTechNews reader from South China who provided the tip! TapTechNews reported on May 15 that the official announcement from Xpeng Motors revealed that the ZEEKR OS 6.1 for the Xpeng P7 has been officially rolled out, achieving the industry's first automatic parking for mass-produced mechanical vehicles. It is worth mentioning that this over-the-air (OTA) update will be rolled out in batches, with the full roll-out expected to be completed by the end of May. This version offers 32 new features and 74 function optimizations, mainly focusing on parking experience, intelligent driving, active safety, security, ecosystem expansion, immersive experience, convenience, and freedom of driving. The update brings the Xpeng Intelligent Parking Assist (APA) for mechanical parking spaces (in beta), supporting front-end parking, optimizing APA functions to cover a wider range of scenarios, and improving the interaction for FTP fingertip parking. In terms of intelligent driving, this update enhances the avoidance capability of NZP lane-changing barrels, optimizes the logic for NZP overtaking scenarios, and supports Lane Centering Control (LCC) for obstacle avoidance, intelligent speed control at intersections, intelligent speed control in adjacent lanes, intelligent speed control for left and right turns, large curve passing on ramps, and one-click restoration of intelligent driving.
