Kingston Announces DC2000B Enterprise/Data Center SSD

TapTechNews August 20th, Kingston today announced the launch of the DC2000B enterprise/data center-class solid-state drive. The drive is available in capacities of 240/480/960 GB and is a product aimed at the high-capacity rack server internal boot drive market.

The Kingston DC2000B solid-state drive adopts an M.2 2280 form factor, supports the PCIe PCIe4.0×4 interface, and is equipped with 112-layer 3D TLC NAND flash (TapTechNews note: it should be the BiCS5 particles of the Kioxia-Western Digital alliance).

In terms of performance, the sequential read and write of the Kingston DC2000B can reach up to 7000 MB/s and 1300 MB/s respectively, and the steady-state 4K read and write can reach up to 540 KIOPS and 47 KIOPS respectively. In addition, the average read latency of this drive is 70 μs, and the durability is 0.4 DWPD in 5 years.

As a solid-state product for server applications, the Kingston DC2000B has hardware PLP power failure protection, which can reduce the possibility of data loss and damage in the event of a power failure. In addition, this solid-state drive integrates an aluminum heat sink to provide better heat dissipation compatibility.
