Meituan and Vanke Property Release Rider-friendly Solution in China

TapTechNews August 23rd news, according to Sina Technology, Meituan and Vanke Property jointly released the "Rider-friendly Community Passage Solution" in Wuhan today to solve the pain point of riders' "difficulty in entering".

Meituan and Vanke Property will achieve data docking, and riders can instantly verify their identities through one-click registration by scanning the code at the entrance of the community. The official said the whole process of passage only takes a few seconds. The digital development achievements of both parties will be successively launched in more than 3000 Vanke Property-managed communities across the country this month.

In addition, Meituan announced that the "Rider-friendly Community" has been implemented in more than 500 communities in more than 20 cities, promoting local communities to open the door and show the way for riders.

However, not long ago, the Xihu District Branch of the Hangzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau issued a notice stating that "at noon on August 12th, a male takeout rider Wang XX of a certain (Meituan) takeout platform stepped on the railing crooked while delivering food in the Xixi Century Center Park and was stopped by the park security guard. The takeout rider knelt down because he was worried about affecting the delivery of other orders, and then led to the gathering of people on the scene."

According to TapTechNews' previous report, after the police issued the notice, Meituan said that for the possible unfair treatment issues that riders may encounter, it will take care of it all the way and cooperate with relevant departments to investigate according to the riders' demands to effectively safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of riders.
