Sony's Upcoming Xperia Pro-C Specs and Release Date

TapTechNews May 21st news, after the release of Xperia 1 VI, the whistleblower InsiderSony released detailed configuration information of another upcoming flagship smartphone Xperia Pro-C from Sony on the social platform X.

Compared with the previous generation Xperia Pro-I, one of the highlights of Pro-C is the return to a small-size design, equipped with a 6.0-inch display (previously 6.5 inches) and a special anti-reflective coating. At the same time, the resolution remains at the 2K level, the same as Xperia 1 VI.

In terms of performance, Xperia Pro-C will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 processor, and the basic version provides 12GB of memory and 256GB of storage space.

Information about the camera is also quite detailed. The main camera will use a 1-inch 50MP sensor, paired with a 20mm optical image stabilization lens with an f/1.8 aperture. It is worth noting that this system will also support shooting in 12-bit RAW and 14-bit DCG RAW formats.

In addition to the main camera, Pro-C will also be supplemented by two 12MP cameras. One of them also has a 20mm focal length, but the sensor size is reduced to 1/2.9 inches and the aperture is f/2.0. It is not yet clear what the specific purpose of this camera is. The other 12MP camera can shoot 4K@120fps 10-bit 420 S-LOG Gamma curve and HLG format videos. The whistleblower information did not mention the wide-angle and telephoto lenses, so Xperia Pro-C is likely to cancel these two lenses.

In terms of battery life, Xperia Pro-C will be equipped with a 5000mAh battery and support the 45W PD fast charging protocol.
