Alibaba Cloud to Build New Data Centers Globally

TapTechNews May 23rd, Alibaba Cloud announced today that it will invest in building new data centers in five countries around the world, namely South Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Mexico. Notably, this is also the first time Alibaba Cloud has entered the Mexican market.

As of now, Alibaba Cloud operates 89 available zones in 30 regions globally. After this new round of investment, Alibaba Cloud's global layout will increase to 31 regions and 95 available zones.

Yuan Qian, president of the International Business Unit of Alibaba Cloud Intelligence, said that Alibaba Cloud will increase investment in the construction of global capabilities, which means more data centers, stronger service capabilities, and closer partnerships worldwide. Currently, Alibaba Cloud has covered major overseas markets such as Southeast Asia, Japan, the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, and the Middle East.

According to a previous report by TapTechNews, LVMH (LVMH Moët Hennessy - Louis Vuitton Group), the parent company of the LV luxury brand, recently announced that it will further deepen cooperation with Alibaba and optimize the high-end retail experience through Alibaba Cloud and Tongyi model on the basis of extending the five-year partnership.
