Porsche (China) to Recall 17,278 Imported Taycan Electric Vehicles Due to Brake Hose Issue

Recently, Porsche (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. has filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Implementation Rules for the Recall of Defective Automobile Products.

Starting from August 31, 2024, it is recalling some imported Taycan series electric vehicles produced from January 7, 2020 to April 24, 2024, a total of 17,278 vehicles.

In the vehicles within the scope of this recall, due to design reasons, the front brake hose may crack and lead to brake fluid leakage, resulting in reduced braking efficiency, longer braking distances, and increasing the risk of vehicle collisions, presenting a potential safety hazard.

Learned from the recall notice by TapTechNews, Porsche (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. will entrust authorized dealers to freely replace the optimized front axle brake hose for the vehicles within the recall range to eliminate potential safety hazards.
