Samsung Developer Conference 2024 OneUI7 System and Future Plans

TapTechNews October 4th news, the Samsung Developer Conference 2024 opened at 1 a.m. Beijing time this morning, and the company announced that the stable version of the OneUI7 system will be launched together with the Galaxy S25 series next year.

Samsung disclosed that OneUI7.0 brings a new user experience, focusing on simplicity and 'emotional design'. OneUI7 has three core design elements:

Simplicity: Aims to achieve purposeful simplicity throughout the UI.

Impact: Create new signature impressions for OneUI.

Emotion: Create UI elements such as the new blur engine to generate positive emotional responses from users.

Over the years, the company's Android custom system has gone through several name changes, but Samsung has decided to use OneUI since 2018, which is also the software name on its mobile devices now. Other product lines, such as home appliances and TVs, have different names for this software.

Samsung confirmed at SDC2024 that it will integrate the software experience of its main product lines (including mobile devices, TVs and home appliances) under the OneUI brand starting from 2025, and Samsung also reiterated that it will provide up to 7 years of operating system upgrades for mobile devices.
