Apple's Patent Dispute Court Rejects Plaintiff's Huge Compensation Request

TapTechNews October 5th news, Bloomberg posted a blog yesterday (October 4th), reporting that in a patent dispute involving TouchID and FaceID, Apple appealed, The court rejected the plaintiff's request for more than 360 million US dollars (TapTechNews note: currently about 2.54 billion Chinese yuan) in compensation.

TapTechNews quoted the media report that the jury of the US Western Texas District Court ruled on Friday that the SecureEnclave design used in Apple's products did not infringe on 4 related patents of IdentitySecurityLLC company.

Apple introduced the security enclave in the iPhone 5s in 2013, aiming to protect sensitive user data, including TouchID and FaceID data.

IdentitySecurityLLC company sued Apple for infringement in 2021, and it is not yet clear whether the company will appeal the ruling.
