X Platform to Keep 'Like' Function Confidential for All

TapTechNews on June 12th, it was announced on the X (Twitter) platform today that this week the Like function will be kept confidential from everyone in order to better protect users' privacy.

Users can still see the posts they like (but others can't see).

The number of likes and other indicators of users' own posts will still be displayed under the notification.

Users will no longer see who liked other people's posts.

The author of the post can see who likes the post.

Elon Musk said that this is an important change so that people can not be attacked for liking a certain post.

For example, for some public figures, hiding likes can avoid public relations crises, such as liking a controversial content.
