Sony Announces Pre-release Test and Release Date of Starwhisper Special Attack

TapTechNews June 28th news, Sony PlayStation today released an announcement, announcing that it will open the pre-release test Beta Early Access of Starwhisper Special Attack (Concord) from July 12th to 14th and open the public beta from July 18th to 21st, and the game will be officially released on August 24th.

Starwhisper Special Attack is Sony's first-party game, which was announced in the State of Play 2024 event held on May 31st. It is a 5v5 first-person shooter game. The game has now been launched on Steam China region, and TapTechNews sorted out the price information as follows:

Standard Edition: 276 yuan (about $40)

Deluxe Edition (play the game 3 days in advance/16 character skins): 398 yuan (about $57)

Sony stated that during the Beta test, players can play all 16 Freegunners characters in the game. Whether players like a hail of bullets, area lockdown, long-range shooting, or supporting the team, there is a suitable gameplay, and it can take care of players with different skill levels.

Sony positions Starwhisper Special Attack as a real-time service-based game, claiming that the official will regularly premiere new cinematic vignettes in the game, and these vignettes will further advance the story development of these characters and advance the ongoing narrative arc.

Subsequent games will also update more characters, maps, modes, small stories, etc. Players can choose their favorite hero from 16 heroes with different powers and abilities, and then form a 5-person FreeGunners team to complete tasks in different science fiction worlds.
