TapTechNews note: Users with vision impairments such as myopia need to be additionally equipped with Zeiss's clip-on glasses if they want to use the VisionPro head-mounted display, and the liquid lens described in the patent can change as the user's vision changes, so there is no need to buy new lenses.

This dynamic focusing system also solves another problem of insertable corrective lenses: in the AR environment, the clip-on glasses are not very helpful for users with hyperopia and different reading degrees in the left and right eyes.

Traditional progressive glasses place the long-distance degree at the top of the lens and the near-distance degree at the bottom of the lens. However, the distance between the display of the AR system and the face remains unchanged.

Since the distance between the head-mounted display and the face does not change, whether the wearer is watching TV across the room or looking down at the keyboard, the distance of the screen will not change, and the result may be that the area the user is looking at becomes blurred.

In the future, AppleVisionPro models can be equipped with lenses that can adjust the focus instantly to adapt to various vision problems. For example, when shifting attention from the TV to the keyboard, the focal length will be adjusted according to the content the user is looking at and the degree requirements at different distances.
