Chongqing Changan Automobile to Recall 203,414 CS55PLUS Vehicles

TapTechNews May 17th news, TapTechNews learned from the State Administration for Market Regulation that Chongqing Changan Automobile Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the Regulations on the Administration of Recalls of Defective Automobile Products and the Implementation Measures for the Regulations on the Administration of Recalls of Defective Automobile Products. It was decided to recall some of the second-generation CS55PLUS cars produced from July 8, 2021 to March 14, 2023, a total of 203,414 vehicles.

For some vehicles within the scope of this recall, due to a deviation in the software of the infotainment control unit, it may cause abnormal image display of the 360° surround view camera, thereby affecting the driver's field of vision when reversing and increasing the risk of vehicle collision, with potential safety hazards.

Chongqing Changan Automobile Co., Ltd. will use the automotive remote upgrade (OTA) technology to upgrade the software for the vehicles within the recall range free of charge, and users can complete the software upgrade without going to the store to eliminate potential safety hazards.
