TapTechNews August 7th news, according to the report of Dongchedi today, Zhang Zhuo, the general manager of BYD Ocean Network Marketing Division, revealed a while ago that the Seal 06GT will be unveiled during the Chengdu Auto Show at the end of August, and if it's in time the pre-sale will be opened simultaneously, and the planned time for the official listing is mid-to-late September.

In May this year, the BYD Seal 06GT appeared in the application list of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (TapTechNews note: the new car's rear logo申报 was Seal X at that time). BYD calls it the industry's first hatchback rear-wheel-drive pure electric hot hatch. This new car adopts the family-style front face design of the Ocean Network, equipped with sharp split headlights and through-type taillights, and hidden door handles on the side.

This car adopts two power layout of single-motor rear-wheel-drive and dual-motor four-wheel-drive. The single-motor model provides two different power drive motors, with the maximum power of 160 kilowatts and 165 kilowatts respectively. The dual-motor model is equipped with a front AC asynchronous motor and a rear permanent magnet synchronous motor, with the maximum power of 110 kilowatts and 200 kilowatts respectively.

The 27th Chengdu International Auto Show will be held from August 30th to September 8th, 2024 in China Western International Expo City in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. This show will be the first A-level auto show in the second half of 2024 in China. Domestic A-level auto shows include Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu and Chongqing auto shows.
