The report said that MediaTek's share in the 5G smartphone market rose from 22.8% in the first quarter of 2023 to 29.2% in the first quarter of 2024, while the share of Qualcomm Snapdragon decreased from 31.2% to 26.5% during the same period.

This is especially beneficial to MediaTek, because in this price range, MediaTek is the first choice for 5G phones, while Snapdragon is in a leading position in mid-range 5G phones, and Apple dominates the high-end market.

Including chips such as Exynos, Google Tensor, Kirin and Unisoc, the total accounts for 17% of the shipment. Due to the high shipment of Huawei Mate60Pro and Nova12 series, the market share of Kirin chips has further increased.
