Ford CEO Labels 'Dark Horse' as a Sub-Brand; Mustang Dark Horse Unveiled

TapTechNews August 24th news, the automotive media carscoops released a blog post today (August 24th), reporting that in Ford's second-quarter earnings conference call, the company's CEO, Jim Farley, described Dark Horse as a sub-brand.

Jim Farley said in the meeting:

We... liberate our product portfolio from too many ordinary vehicles and infuse it with passion and purpose. We have created the iconic F-series and Transit series, as well as passionate models such as Mustang and Bronco, and sub-brands such as Raptor, Tremor, and Dark Horse.

TapTechNews note: Ford has currently only launched one Dark Horse, that is, the Mustang Dark Horse high-performance sports car, which was publicly displayed at the 6th China International Import Expo in November 2023 officially.

Ford officials said:

The all-new Mustang Dark Horse is equipped with the strongest 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine ever, which is indeed a performance beast with both track racing and street racing driving pleasure experiences.

For the all-new Mustang Dark Horse, the new naming also means a new design language. The exterior design of this model can be described as a perfect combination of sharp supercar aesthetic design and track-level aerodynamic performance, highlighting its outstanding performance advantages to the greatest extent from the visual level and thereby announcing extraordinary track genes.
