Air China's First C919 Airliner Conducted First Test Flight and Its Future Prospects

TapTechNews August 11th news, according to the official news of Aviation Industry Corporation of China, the first C919 airliner of Air China conducted its first test flight on August 9th. The temporary registration number of this aircraft is B-002M and it is planned to be delivered to Air China by the end of August.

Air China signed an agreement with Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China on April 26 this year to purchase 100 C919 aircraft, and the 100 aircraft are planned to be delivered in batches from 2024 to 2031.

TapTechNews noticed that the official website of Air China has announced the cabin layout of its C919 airliner, adopting a two-class layout of 158 seats, including 8 business class seats and 150 economy class seats, which is the currently loosest cabin layout of C919 airliner.

In addition, according to TapTechNews' report on August 9, sources said that the C919 domestic large aircraft received positive feedback from the EU regulatory agency, and the prospects of obtaining EU certification in 2025 are more optimistic.
