TapTechNews July 31st news, in order to further promote the innovative development of 5G + industrial Internet, continuously implement the hundreds of thousands action of 5G factories, accelerate the construction of high-level 5G factories, promote the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy, and promote the intelligent transformation, digitalization, networking and connection of enterprises in various industry fields, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently issued a notice to organize and carry out the selection work of the 2024 5G factory list project.
The project application entity is enterprises in key fields such as manufacturing, mining, electricity, ports, etc., registered within the territory of the People's Republic of China and having an independent legal person qualification. The project construction standard refers to the Guidelines for the Construction of 5G Fully Connected Factories (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Office Letter [2022] No. 23).
(I) Application. The local industry and information technology administrative department and the communication administration organize the enterprises in the region that meet the requirements to fill in the project through the 5G + Industrial Internet Development Management Platform (http://5gii.aii-alliance.org/pro/login) or the 5G + Industrial Internet Development Management Platform - 5G Factory Database software (http://www.aii-alliance.org/index/c222/n5142.html), and upload the relevant materials before September 15, 2024.
(II) Recommendation. The local industry and information technology administrative department and the communication administration recommend the enterprise application projects in the region (the recommended projects must be completed projects), and complete the regional project recommendation work through the 5G + Industrial Internet Development Management Platform before September 30, 2024.
(III) Review. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology entrusts the Industrial Internet Industry Alliance to summarize and check the project materials, and when necessary, organize third-party institutions or experts to conduct on-site verification, and after the verification or verification, organize the experts of the Industrial Internet Strategic Advisory Expert Committee to carry out the review work.
(IV) Release. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will publicly announce and release the selected 2024 5G factory list projects.
According to the previous report of TapTechNews, on November 20, 2023, at the special meeting of the 2023 China 5G + Industrial Internet Conference, the 2023 5G Factory List was successfully released, a total of 300 projects were selected.
From the perspective of industry distribution, the 5G factories included in the 2023 5G Factory List have widely covered 24 major categories of the national economy. From the perspective of geographical distribution, the 5G factories in the list are distributed in 26 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government in China, among which the number of 5G factories in Jiangsu, Shandong, Hubei, Anhui, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Tianjin, Hebei, Liaoning, Hunan, Guangdong and other provinces and municipalities ranks in the top 10 in the country.
