BAIC Arcfox Kaola S Officially Launched with New Features

TapTechNews August 8th news, BAIC Arcfox Kaola S model has now been officially launched, offering two models of Air/Pro, with guide prices of $15,800 and $17,100 respectively.

This model was initially unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show this April, positioned as a parent-child MPV model. Compared to the standard version of Arcfox Kaola, the appearance remains basically unchanged, mainly changing from a four-seat layout to a five-seat one, while upgrading the sliding side doors. The length, width and height are 177.16 inches/73.62 inches/65.16 inches, and the wheelbase reaches 111.02 inches.

On the side of the vehicle body, the new car adopts a floating roof design and is matched with sliding side doors. The semi-enclosed wheel rim shape further reduces the vehicle's wind resistance.

TapTechNews noticed that the new car also uses infant-grade skin-friendly interior materials for covering inside, and the interior area reaching the gum-grade standard reaches 119.4 square feet. In terms of storage space, the trunk size of this car reaches 14.49 cubic feet, and there are also several storage spaces designed in the vehicle, further improving the space utilization rate of the whole vehicle.

In the interior, the new car adopts a full LCD instrument panel and a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel. A large-size multimedia display screen with a floating design is equipped in the center of the dashboard, providing configurations such as parking radar, reversing image, cruise control, and keyless entry.

In terms of power, the new car has a front-mounted single electric motor with a maximum power of 163 horsepower and a maximum torque of 177 pound-feet, matching the 58.86 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery from CATL, and the CLTC pure electric cruising range reaches 310.69 miles. In addition, in the fast charging mode, it only takes 26 minutes to replenish energy from 30% to 80%, and it also supports the V2L external discharge ability.
