TapTechNews reports on May 11th that according to the official WeChat account of Anhui Post, Anhui Post has recently initiated the first intra-provincial drone delivery route in the Huangshan Scenic Area, where mail and newspapers were delivered to the Baiyun Hotel in Huangshan.
The drone delivery route connects Ciguang Pavilion to Baiyun Hotel in Huangshan Scenic Area, covering a total distance of 4.2 kilometers (about 2.6 miles). The delivery time has been reduced from 1.5 hours by traditional methods to just 6 minutes using drones.
TapTechNews learned that Anhui Post uses the DJI FlyCart30 drone for mail delivery. This drone supports two load modes: cargo box and aerial hoist system. It can carry a maximum load of 30 kilograms (about 66 lbs), has an empty-load range of 28 kilometers (about 17.4 miles), and can fly at speeds up to 20 meters per second (approximately 45 mph).
