Microsoft Releases Windows 11 24H2 Update and Future Plans

TapTechNews May 18th news, Microsoft today released the update KB5037783 for Windows 11 24H2, which is also the second update of 24H2, mainly testing the maintenance pipeline, integrating the May security update of Windows 11 23H2, and the version number of users after installation rises to Build 26100.560.

Microsoft is expected to release the Windows 11 24H2 update this autumn, and has already modified the kernel code to 'germanium', just like upgrading from Windows 11 21H2 to 22H2. OEM manufacturers will provide the first batch of devices in June and officially release in September.

TapTechNews previously reported that the Windows 11 24H2 update has already appeared on the Bluetooth Technology Alliance certification website, just confirming its name, but not disclosing other useful information.

Microsoft will hold a Windows and Surface new product launch event on May 20th, and will also connect with the Build 2024 conference held from May 21st to 23rd. Many media speculate that Microsoft will announce Windows 11 24H2 during the event.
