Earlier, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) of the United States has announced that it will launch an investigation into the death incident at the GigaTexas plant. Subsequently, the family of the deceased, Victor Gomez Sr., filed a lawsuit against Tesla on Thursday. After the incident, the authorities immediately rushed to the GigaTexas plant, and Gomez was emergently sent to Dell Seton Medical Center due to cardiac arrest and was later pronounced dead.

The lawsuit alleges that Gomez was a contract worker of Belcan Corporation and held an electrician's license, and was required to inspect an electrical panel that had not been energized. But one of the panels was already energized, resulting in Gomez being electrocuted and losing consciousness.

The attorney representing Gomez said that experts have been hired to investigate the Tesla plant in Austin before any evidence is tampered with, and that Tesla has not responded yet. The legal team also demanded that Tesla retain internal and external surveillance videos as well as the electrical panel involved.

As of TapTechNews' press time, Tesla has not responded to the media's request for comment.

OSHA said that it will not release any additional information until the completion of the investigation of the accident. Rick Gleason, a former OSHA inspector in Washington state, said that the investigation focuses on the management involved rather than the workers.
