According to the information from the meeting records, currently, China has built 21 automated container terminals and 28 automated dry bulk terminals, and the number of built and under-construction automated terminals ranks first in the world. The national built electronic waterway maps have covered more than 5700 kilometers of waterway mileage. This year, efforts will be further made to promote the interconnection of the electronic waterway maps of the Yangtze River trunk line and the high-grade waterways in the Yangtze River Delta, and accelerate the formation of an one map of the electronic waterway of the Yangtze River system. The new generation of automated guided vehicles and driverless container trucks based on 5G technology have been put into use first, and some have even realized automated long-distance transport of container trucks, such as on the Donghai Bridge which is more than 30 kilometers long in Xiaoyangshan North.

In the aspect of travel services, the waterway tourism passenger transport is developing rapidly. China is focusing on creating high-quality domestic waterway tourism passenger routes. More than 40 cities in China have launched businesses such as natural landscape, characteristic culture, and coastal sightseeing tours. The international cruise shipping is recovering rapidly. In the first half of this year, a total of 23 cruise ships are planned to operate 206 voyages, and the number of cruise passengers transported nationwide is expected to reach 490,000, of which the growth rate in the second quarter compared to the first quarter has increased by nearly 60%, showing an accelerating growth trend.

TapTechNews noted that in the development of China's marine salvage business. From January to May this year, the national marine search and rescue centers at all levels have organized and coordinated 561 search and rescue operations, rescued 391 distress ships and 3480 distress personnel, and the search and rescue success rate has reached 96%.

The salvage system is vigorously promoting the research and development and application of new marine search and rescue equipment and technologies such as unmanned drones and unmanned submersibles. In January this year, China's self-designed and built South China Sea Rescue 103 ship was officially put into use. This is the new generation rescue flagship with the largest main dimension, the strongest comprehensive rescue ability, and the highest technological content of China's marine professional rescue forces, with a power of 22,000 kilowatts, which can play an important role in resisting strong winds and waves and typhoon season. The main dimension of the ship is 137 meters long, and this ship is equipped with professional rescue equipment such as unmanned boats and rescue boats, and can carry up to 200 rescued people and can meet the needs of deep-sea life rescue.

In recent years, China has also gradually added some high-precision equipment. Just today, the AW189 rescue helicopter newly equipped in the salvage system was officially put int o rescue duty on standby. This type of helicopter has a maximum range of more than 1000 miles and can carry a maximum of 19 people, and the search and rescue flight radius can reach 200 nautical miles.
