Geely Galaxy E8's New Model Discovered in Announcement

TapTechNews June 14th news, in the new product publicity of the 384th batch of the Announcement of Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturing Enterprises and Products announced by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on June 13th, TapTechNews found the figure of the new model of Geely Galaxy E8.

The overall appearance of the new model of Galaxy E8 remains unchanged. The front headlights group shows an upward momentum and is equipped with the rhythm grille named Light Ripple, and the rear uses a through-type taillight design. In addition, the car can be optionally equipped with a front fender camera, roof lidar and a semi-rim steering wheel.

The declared information shows that the new car has a length, width and height of 5010/1920/1465 millimeters (about 16.46/6.38/4.81 feet), wheelbase of 2925 millimeters (about 9.6 feet), the maximum speed of 210 kilometers per hour (about 130.5 miles per hour), the total mass of 2335 kilograms (about 5148 pounds), and the curb weight of 1905 kilograms (about 4196 pounds).

Different from the current version on sale, the newly declared model is equipped with a single motor with a maximum power of 250 kilowatts. And the currently available Galaxy E8 provides three different power assemblies of 400V+200kW single motor, 800V+200kW single motor, and 800V+475kW double motors, corresponding to the cruising ranges of 550 kilometers (about 342 miles), 665 kilometers (about 413 miles) and 620 kilometers (about 385 miles).

At present, it is not clear the specific listing time and price of the new model of Geely Galaxy E8. For reference, the price of the 550-kilometer two-wheel-drive Longteng version of Galaxy E8 currently on sale is $25,550.
