XPeng Motors Enters French Market with XPeng G9

TapTechNews May 17th news, on May 16th, XPeng Motors held the XPeng G9 launch event in Paris and officially entered the French market.

The 2024 XPeng G9 has a price range of 59,990 to 73,990 euros in France (TapTechNews note: currently about 471,000 to 581,000 RMB). Delivery is planned to start in July this year. At the event site on the same day, XPeng Motors also exhibited the XPeng G6 and plans to launch it in France next month.

Thomas Rodier, the director of communication for the French market of XPeng Motors, said:

We are positioned in the high-end market in France. Previously, in the local French market, there has not been a truly high-end electric vehicle brand from China. XPeng Motors is a very unique and competitive brand in terms of market positioning, product performance, and price.

By the end of this year, XPeng Motors plans to implement 35 sales outlets in France, and hopes to reach 55 next year. The official introduction stated that by then, it would not take more than 50 minutes for French consumers to reach the nearest XPeng sales store. XPeng Motors hopes to achieve a 3% market share in the model range in the French new energy vehicle market by the end of this year.

According to TapTechNews' previous report, the 2024 XPeng G9 model was launched in China in September 2023, continuing the design of the previous generation and adding two new colors, Interstellar Green and Dark Night Black. This car adopts 800-volt high-voltage silicon carbide electric drive technology and provides two configurations: rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive.

The standard range version of the XPeng G9 model is equipped with a 78.2 kWh battery pack, and the cruising range under the CLTC condition can reach 570 kilometers; while the model with a 98 kWh battery pack, the CLTC cruising range of the rear-wheel drive version is 702 kilometers, and that of the all-wheel drive version is 650 kilometers. All models support a 3.3 kW external discharge function.
