LG's Next-Generation MicroLED Display Debuts at InfoComm 2024

TapTechNews June 13th news, LG Electronics recently announced that its next-generation MicroLED display made its first public appearance at the InfoComm 2024 professional audio-visual trade show from June 12th to 14th this month.

LG said that its new-generation 136-inch MicroLED display screen is composed of 25 million micro-LED chips that are about 0.00106 inches (27 micrometers) long and about 0.00063 inches (16 micrometers) wide, which can provide excellent contrast, bold colors and excellent display details.

The new display also has an AI processor from LG built in, which can analyze the brightness and hue of each LED chip in real time, and make the display image quality reach the best level through automatic calibration.

LG confirmed that the new-generation MicroLED display screen is planned to be launched at the end of this year.

LG also simultaneously demonstrated the new-generation LG MAGNIT integrated display solution based on the 136-inch MicroLED screen.

The scheme has passed the TÜV low blue light and low gray-level display performance test, and is equipped with a built-in controller and speaker. LG claims that it is very suitable for use in offices and conference rooms.

TapTechNews noticed that the refresh rate of the new-generation LG MAGNIT has increased from the previous generation's 120 Hz to 144 Hz.

At this trade show, LG also showed 171-inch LED signs and 105-inch digital signage display monitors. These 21:9 ultra-large screen display monitors are suitable for video conference calls and can display more video sources or data information simultaneously.
