Leapmotor's May Deliveries and New Car C16 Launch

TapTechNews June 1st news, Leapmotor also announced its latest 'eport card' today: the delivery in May reached 18,165 units, and the models C11 and C10, known as the 'SUV twin stars', delivered 11,992 units that month.

In June, the new car C16 officially positioned as an 'ultra-comfortable intelligent 6-seat SUV' will be officially launched. This car had previously started pre-sale during the Beijing Auto Show, and it is claimed that the fully-equipped price is expected to be within 200,000 Chinese yuan (approx. 28,500 US dollars).

This new car provides six color options including Starlight Silver, Stardust Purple, Skylight Gray, Pearl White, Metallic Black, and Jade Green. The body size is 4,915 * 1,905 * 1,770mm (approx. 193.5 * 75 * 69.7 in), and the wheelbase is 2,825mm (approx. 111.2 in). It is equipped with Nvidia Orin-X chip + LiDAR.

Inside the car, it provides three interior color options including Malt Rice, Cabernet Orange, and Stardust Purple. The seats adopt a 2+2+2 golden layout and are equipped with a 14.6-inch 2.5K ultra-clear central control screen, a 15.6-inch high-definition rear entertainment screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon SA8295P smart cockpit, a 21-speaker luxury audio system, a large panoramic sunroof, a three-temperature zone independent air conditioning, an electric rear tailgate, etc.

In terms of power, the car provides both extended-range and pure electric dual power versions. Among them, the pure electric version is standard with a full-domain 800V silicon carbide high-voltage platform, and the fastest 30%-80% charge takes only 15 minutes. Previously disclosed information shows that the pure electric version of this car provides a 215kW drive motor and is matched with a 67kWh lithium ferrophosphate battery, and the CLTC pure electric range is 520 kilometers (approx. 323 miles). The extended-range version is equipped with a 28kWh battery, and the CLTC pure electric range is 230 kilometers (approx. 143 miles).
