One-Year Anniversary of C919's Commercial Operation

At 9:21 am this morning, the 6th C919 of China Eastern Airlines, which executed the MU2999 transfer flight, took off from Shanghai Pudong International Airport and arrived at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport at 9:37 am, officially joining the China Eastern Airlines fleet.
The chairman of China Eastern Airlines Group Co., Ltd., Wang Zhiqing, said that in the past year, the C919 aircraft has cumulatively executed more than 2100 flights and safely operated for more than 6000 hours; it has transported nearly 300,000 passengers, with an average seat occupancy rate close to 80%, exceeding同航线的其他机型, and initially achieved success in commercial operation.
Currently, the number of C919 pilots of China Eastern Airlines has exceeded 60, the number of C919 flight attendants has reached nearly 170 in 8 batches, more than 60 C919 maintenance personnel and more than 40 dispatchers have been trained, and 14,000 people have completed the ground service guarantee training for this model.
The C919 aircraft has currently achieved regular operations on three routes: Shanghai Hongqiao to Chengdu Tianfu, Shanghai Hongqiao to Beijing Daxing, and Shanghai Hongqiao to Xi'an Xianyang; and with the delivery of the new C919 aircraft, the regular routes operated by the C919 of China Eastern Airlines will continue to be updated.
According to the official introduction, the fuselage number of the new C919 aircraft of China Eastern Airlines this time is B-919G. As the global first user of C919, China Eastern Airlines, after the first batch of 5 orders, signed an additional order of 100 C919 on September 28, 2023, and this is the first aircraft.
With the start of the delivery of this 100 orders, the C919 fleet of China Eastern Airlines will continue to grow, and the C919 fleet of China Eastern Airlines is expected to reach 10 by the end of 2024. The relevant person in charge of China Eastern Airlines said that in the future, the C919 of China Eastern Airlines will mainly be deployed in the main base market of China Eastern Airlines and important business and tourist trunk line markets.
