Affinity Creative Suite Update with Native ARM Support for Windows

Due to the comprehensive native optimization for devices with ARM64 chips, the entire Affinity suite is now applicable to the latest Windows hardware. On the Windows platform, Affinity is officially claimed to be the first creative software with end-to-end native ARM support.

Affinity says that the Qualcomm Snapdragon XElite series chips are equipped with high-performance CPUs and GPUs as well as unified memory. Computers equipped with the new chips can provide a more rapid experience in handling tasks such as drawing, pixel editing, filter effects, document rendering, etc.

Version 2.5 of the Affinity creative suite also has several function updates and improvements, which TapTechNews summarizes as follows:

Variable font support: Variable fonts can be used in all Affinity applications.

Stroke width tool: The new stroke width tool is located next to the pencil tool in the AffinityDesigner toolbar, and the pressure profile of any curve can be edited directly on the document.

Pencil tool improvement: A new curve smoothing algorithm is provided, and the automatic closing method is changed.

QR code tool: A QR code tool is added in the shape tool popup window.

Default preset for grids: In the grid settings and axis settings, any grid settings can be set as the default.

Typography dialog becomes panel: The typography dialog transforms from a popup window to a panel.

Other improvements: Several new cameras are added to LibRAW, the DWG polyline import is improved, and there is a visual indication for the resizing of text boxes.
