BAIC Group and ZTO Express Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement
TapTechNews August 13th news, according to the official news of BAIC Group, on August 12th, BAIC Group signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with ZTO Express, and the two sides will promote in-depth cooperation in logistics and supply chain business cooperation, vehicle purchase and other aspects.
In terms of logistics and supply chain business cooperation, the two sides will rely on ZTO Express's intelligent technology and warehouse-dry-distribution resource advantages to support and improve BAIC Group's logistics and supply chain layout. BAIC Group will make full use of ZTO Express's logistics scenarios to explore the research and commercial landing of products together in new technical fields such as the Internet of Vehicles, new energy, and hybrids.
In terms of vehicle purchase cooperation, BAIC Group provides a full range of vehicle models and personalized travel solution services for ZTO Express and its affiliated enterprises. Its commercial vehicle business will provide logistics equipment for ZTO through vehicle customization, technical upgrading, service empowerment, and application of cutting-edge technologies. ZTO Express will provide support for the promotion of BAIC Group's products.
In addition, BAIC Group and ZTO Express will expand cooperation in the digital logistics and technology sector, using technologies such as the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, and big data to explore solutions such as digital transportation, intelligent warehousing, and automated distribution line production, and improve the digital level of both sides. At the same time, strengthen cooperation in the field of talent exchange and training.
BAIC Group's cumulative sales in the first half of 2024 was 771,000 units, a 5.9% decrease from 819,000 units in the same period last year; in June this year, BAIC Group's sales were 148,000 units, an increase of 11.44% month-on-month.
