Yesterday, during the opening of the Busan International Motor Show in South Korea, the first落地 product of the cooperation project between Renault Korea and Geely Group, the GrandKoleos (TapTechNews note: It can be called Big Koleos according to the naming method), officially debuted. This car is the sister model of the domestic Geely Xingyue L. Reservations for the Korean market started today and local delivery will be made within the year.

This car adopts a frameless center grille, hangs a diamond-shaped Renault logo, the entire front face is covered with straight lines, presenting a sharp style. The side profile of its body continues the styling and overall outline of the Xingyue L, but the temperament is different from the Xingyue L which is more inclined to be soft.

This car offers four configurations such as espritAlpine version, espritAlpine four-wheel drive version, iconic version, and techno version. The cockpit is equipped with 3 12.3-inch screens, integrating navigation, music, seat control, in-car temperature control, and various infotainment functions. The entertainment screen on the passenger side also has built-in streaming media and podcast applications that suit the usage habits of local users.

It is worth mentioning that this car also offers an exclusive Alpine version, featuring customized wheels, logos, and black Alcantara interior materials, and exclusive nameplates.

In terms of power, the new car provides two power options of 1.5 liters of E-Tech hybrid power system and 2.0 liters of turbocharged engine. The former has a maximum output power of 245 horsepower; the latter can choose a four-wheel drive system and has various driving modes such as comfort, eco, sport, smart, snow, and off- road.

In November 2022, Geely and Renault announced to reach a framework agreement, and then established the HORSEPowertrainLimited powertrain technology company on May 31 this year, which will serve the products under brands such as Renault Group, Geely Automobile, Volvo Automobile, Proton Automobile, Nissan and Mitsubishi in the future.
