The survey jointly conducted by the US artificial intelligence and data analysis software company SAS and ColemanParkesResearch interviewed 1600 industry decision-makers from 16 countries and regions around the world. The survey results show that 83% of Chinese respondents said they used generative artificial intelligence, a proportion higher than 65% in the US and 54% in all surveyed countries and regions.

TapTechNews noted that the industries covered in this survey include banking, insurance, healthcare, telecommunications, manufacturing, retail, and energy, etc. The survey results emphasize the rapid progress China has made in the field of generative artificial intelligence. After Microsoft-backed OpenAI released ChatGPT in November 2022, the development momentum in this field has been strong, and then dozens of Chinese companies have launched their own generative artificial intelligence products.

Last week, a report from the United Nations World Intellectual Property Organization showed that China is also in the leading position in generative artificial intelligence patents. China submitted more than 38,000 patent applications from 2014 to 2023, while the US only submitted 6276 during the same period.

It is expected that with the further escalation of the price war, the application of generative artificial intelligence in large enterprises in China will accelerate the popularity.
