Zhengzhou International Land Port Officially Opens, Facilitating BYD's Export
TapTechNews July 1st, at 10:15 am on June 30th, a train carrying more than 260 BYD commercial vehicles departed from the newly built railway operation yard of Zhengzhou International Land Port and will be exported to Uzbekistan via Lanzhou, Gansu, marking the official opening of the Zhengzhou International Land Port and the official opening of the dedicated railway.
According to the official introduction of Henan Zhengzhou Airport Port, the Zhengzhou International Land Port is located in the southeast of Zhengzhou Airport Port Area. It is a key project for Henan Province to deeply integrate into the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative and implement the advantage recreation strategy to transform the transportation location advantage into the hub economic advantage.
On June 20, 2022, the Henan provincial government officially approved the Development Plan of Zhengzhou International Land Port Airport Port Area. On June 21, 2022, according to the work deployment of the 155th executive meeting of the Henan provincial government, Henan Investment Group will take the lead to speed up the construction of Zhengzhou International Land Port.
It is known that the opening of the Zhengzhou International Land Port and the opening of the dedicated railway realized operation upon opening, opening up the external connection channel of the Zhengzhou International Land Port.
TapTechNews learned from public information that the overall layout of the Zhengzhou International Land Port is in accordance with the one port and seven districts, and is subdivided into 26 functional sections. One port is the Zhengzhou International Land Port; seven districts are to build the international train distribution center area with the east station as the core; with the west station as the core, build a new energy vehicle logistics service area; around the two stations, expand and layout five functional areas such as bulk material supply chain, bonded function expansion, business matching, strategic reservation of water port cooperation and strategic reservation of emerging logistics.
The total investment of the core functional area of the Zhengzhou International Land Port is $27.8 billion (about 178.6 billion yuan), including the west operation area, the east operation area and the dedicated railway. The dedicated railway line is 23.9 miles long, and the railway was opened to traffic in 13 months.
The official opening of the Zhengzhou International Land Port will form an efficient industrial linkage with the Zhengzhou BYD base. The straight-line distance between the land port and the Zhengzhou BYD base is less than 1 mile, and the commercial vehicles can be directly driven from the factory area to the departure yard of the land port, eliminating the need for trailer transportation, improving the efficiency of logistics operation and reducing the cost of logistics.
